Elon Musk highlights four key areas
where Twitter would focus if it is acquired.
American billionaire Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, sparked widespread controversy when he announced his intention to acquire Twitter, one of the most prominent social media platforms in the world.
Musk's talk
was not limited to just the desire to buy, but he also clarified his strategic vision for the post-acquisition, revealing four main areas that will be the focus of Twitter to ensure its return to the right track and enhance its digital position.
Musk explained that
- users do not know enough how tweets are shown to them
- or why some posts are blocked. Therefore, it is proposed to open part of
- Twitter's algorithms to the public to enhance trust and transparency.
He will also develop
these algorithms based on artificial intelligence technologies to ensure that content is presented that is more relevant to the user, away from bias or directed control.
US billionaire Elon Musk has revealed areas that
Twitter will concentrate heavily on if it completes its acquisition.
- Musk posted a tweet on Friday saying that "if the acquisition of Twitter is completed
- the company will focus heavily on software engineering, design, information technology, and server hardware."
- In another tweet, he added: "I strongly believe that all managers in the technical field should be technically excellent
- and managers in software should write great software, or it's like being the commander of a cavalry can't ride!".
Elon Musk's
tweets elicited wide interaction from his 91 million Twitter followers, with one demolishing the old Twitter redesign instead of the current one, to which
Musk replied that "there's a lot to do for design
and every Pixel one is important, it's a difficult problem."
Elon Musk's remarks were in response to
a report he accompanied with his tweet
which dealt with news that his acquisition of Twitter would affect the company's ability to retain existing employees and recruit new employees.
The report also noted that Musk disparaged current Twitter employees
such as Vijaya Gad, a top lawyer for the highly respected company
and rescued the company from several political traps
including the decision to ban the account of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Elon Musk raised an additional $7.1 billion to support his acquisition of
Twitter, including $1.9 billion from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.
