NATO: The use of nuclear weapons will completely change the nature of Ukraine's conflict

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated on NBC on Sunday that the use of nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine would completely change the nature of the conflict.

The NATO Secretary :

General described the arguments on the use of such weapons as dangerous and reckless, adding :

"We have been informed by President (Russian Vladimir) Putin that any use of nuclear weapons would have consequences for Russia and would of course change the nature of the conflict in Ukraine."

President Vladimir Putin had earlier stressed in a speech to Russia's citizens that the West had crossed all lines in its anti-Russian policy, as well as in ongoing threats against Moscow.

Now, as Putin has stressed :

nuclear blackmail is being used by Washington, while pointing out that Russia in some components overtakes foreign military equipment, and warning those trying to threaten nuclear weapons that "the wind may flip in their direction."

The Kremlin has also repeatedly stated that Moscow has no plans to use nuclear weapons

and Putin stressed that nuclear war cannot be triumphant, noting that Russia's critics must know that it has such weapons, but Moscow does not threaten anyone.

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, spoke last April about the "very high" risks of such a scenario, but stressed that Moscow's principled position was centred on the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear forces.

Devlin: The West's surrender to Zelensky's demands will turn this winter from cold to nuclear

US journalist Bradley Devlin said that if the West surrendered to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's demands to join NATO, this year's winter would turn into a nuclear winter.

In an article in The American Consortium, Bradlin added that at first glance Zelensky's proposal seems so ridiculous that one thinks he's doing one of his comedies, and his political presentation is not funny at all.

The author believes that Ukraine's request to join NATO could be of a symbolic nature.

  •  If so, Zelensky must be ashamed of the fact that
  • he is pushing the world into a nuclear war.
  • Zelensky's announcement of an urgent application for NATO
  • whether real or artificial, showed contempt for the consequences.

Earlier on Friday, after the accession of the republics of Donetsk and Lugansk and the provinces of Kherson and Zaporoje to Russia, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that Kiev would make an urgent application to join NATO.

For his part, NATO Secretary

General Jens Stoltenberg said that the doors of NATO remain open. As we have shown in recent years, the membership decision is unanimously taken by all 30 allies.

Our goal now is to provide urgent assistance to Ukraine to help it defend itself.

NATO is not part of the conflict, but we support Ukraine so that it can exercise its right to self-defence.
