Epstein's girlfriend demonstrates
talents for pre-testifying for US work.
The British newspaper
the Daily Mail, reported that Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey
Epstein's former girlfriend, has invented her talents to
testify before beneficiaries and to obtain Epstein files.
The newspaper said that Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison
sentence for sex trafficking of minors, is "more than happy to sit before Congress
and tell her story
but the US government has not yet asked her to reveal what she knows.
Maxwell is seeking to appeal her conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court, where
government lawyers are scheduled to file their response to her petition on July 14.
Maxwell was convicted in 2022 for her role in a scheme in which Epstein helped
exploit and abuse several underage girls over a ten-year period.
She argues that :
she should have been protected by a 2007 non-prosecution
agreement between Epstein :
and prosecutors, under which Epstein pleaded guilty to
two minor charges, allowing him to serve only a short prison term.
A source indicated that
- President Donald Trump, despite his public appearances
- with Epstein at social events, was among the first to sever ties with him
- apparently due to a business dispute and Epstein's behavior toward women.
The source added:
- "There are no major surprises related to President Trump in the Epstein files
- but there are many powerful men and a lot of money, and ultimately
- the case will be about following the money trail."
This development comes amid ongoing criticism of the Trump administration
following the US Department of Justice's announcement that there is no such thing
as an "Epstein client list :
and the ongoing controversy surrounding
surveillance footage from the prison where Epstein died in 2019.
The Justice Department :
maintains that Epstein committed suicide in his New York City jail cell while
awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, but critics have pointed out that some of
the video recordings are missing and do not show the cell door or its interior.
The Ministry of
Justice confirmed that no additional prosecutions are expected in this case
including against Britain's Prince Andrew, who was accused by Virginia Giuffre of
sexually assaulting her when she was 17 years old. Prince Andrew denied
the allegations and reached a civil settlement
with Giuffre without admitting any liability.
In response to
these accusations, Trump wrote a lengthy post on Truth Social
saying:
- "For years, there has been talk about Epstein. Why aren't we highlighting
- the dossiers written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan
- and the losers and criminals in the Biden administration?"
A source close to Maxwell said she would "welcome the opportunity to appear
before Congress to tell her story," adding that Epstein's files are as significant as
historical cases that have led to congressional hearings
such as the assassination of :
President John F. Kennedy and the September 11 attacks.
These developments have sparked criticism among Trump supporters of
the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, with some accusing
the Justice Department of covering up details of the case, while others
have blamed Attorney General Pam Bondi for failing to
release all files related to Epstein and his alleged associates.
Many of :
- Epstein's victims reported being sexually exploited by him and passed on to
- his wealthy and influential friends, including those who visited
- his private island, Little Saint James.
