Saudi Arabia is moving towards modern luxury:
"Sindala" is the first to emerge as a new destination
Within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom's ambitious journey continues towards diversifying its economy, developing the luxury tourism
sector
- and providing an exceptional experience that competes with
- the most prominent global destinations. The "Sindala"
- project within the advanced city of NEOM is an actual step on this path
- as it represents the first actual entity to be opened within the huge project.
Sandala Project
Opening of the first actual tourist destination in NEOM
On October 28, 2024, the luxury tourist island of Sandala was officially opened, and was the "first physical destination" within the massive NEOM project.
The island
- is designed to be a luxury gateway to the Red Sea
- and includes hotels, luxury restaurants, and seaside resorts that
- include yacht clubs and integrated spa facilities
The attached video highlights the destination's inaugural celebration and the engagement of a "huge workforce" of 30,000 local and international workers to embody this tourism dream on Sandala Island
Luxury tourism expands Saudi Arabia's compass
The expansion of luxury tourism is not limited to NEOM alone, as the Kingdom is witnessing other huge projects within the "Al-Soudah Pix" program in the Asir region, which was designed as a luxury mountain destination on the peaks of
Al-Soudah;
The project was announced in September 2023 and is expected to attract about two million visitors annually since its completion in 2033, and includes thousands of hotel rooms and residential facilities within huge green spaces
Also
the "Artery" project in the Red Coast Project (Red Sea Project), which includes the opening of its first resort under the “Six Senses Southern Dunes brand”
in November 2023
followed by the opening of the “St resort. Regis” in January 2024
then “Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve” in May 2024
Luxury tourism within an expansionary strategic vision
The Kingdom is preparing to pump more than a trillion dollars into these tourism initiatives within its national vision, with the development of about 50 luxury hotels on 22 islands within the Red Coast project
in addition
to restoring heritage sites and transforming cities such as Jeddah
and Al-Alwa into centers of cultural and tourist attraction
Also on Shura Island
(Shura Island), a luxury collection of 11 hotels (Coral Bloom) is being built, along with Saudi Arabia's first 18-hole golf course, which is expected to open in 2025
Why is a "sandal" important?
Execution code:
- The opening of "Sandalah"
- proves that NEOM is advancing as
- a tangible investigator, not just a future vision
Luxury ocean offers:
- It includes upscale marine services such as a yacht club and spa
- making it an ideal destination for luxury seekers and seeking to
- attract a sophisticated international audience
Sustainable stimulus:
The logistical possibilities, from constructing an entire island to organizing a huge celebration, confirm the availability of the infrastructure and resources necessary to achieve similar successes in the future.
summary
Saudi Arabia continues its ambitious tourism transformation by launching luxury destinations that effectively open their doors to visitors. "Sindala" is the first step in this transformation, as are the "Black Peaks" and "Red Sea" projects
and even "Shura"
and others, which constitute a clear roadmap towards a sustainable
cultural
and luxurious development future. The real challenge lies in attracting global visitors and maintaining a balance between local and global character while taking into account social and environmental values.
