Trump is under intense protection measures

and behind bulletproof glass panels

Us President Donald Trump appeared excited during a football match in New York on the senior podium behind bulletproof glass, after the assassination of one of his most prominent supporters, activist Charlie Kirk.

A video clip of

Trump being excited among

the cheering crowd during a football match spread through the media, at a time when the Wall Street Journal reported that the president's protection squad had strengthened security measures after the recent incidents.

It is worth noting that Trump stated in the wake of

Kirk's assassination that he was not concerned about his personal safety.

American

news websites reported that

  • President Trump attended the New York Yankees game on Thursday evening
  • where he received mixed reactions while honoring
  • the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Before the match began

Trump arrived at the local team's locker room, shook hands with the players and crew members, and spoke about his close relationship over the years with the team's former founder and long-term owner, George Steinbrenner.

Lead-proof glass was installed

  1. outside the Steinbrenner family's
  2. Liankees-owning
  3. top-row caravan

which is located on the third-base side above the visiting Detroit Tigers' stadium.

Trump sat next to team president Randy Levin

and chatted with him throughout the game.

During the playing of the national anthem, Trump appeared on the giant screen in the stadium, and some attendees greeted him with applause, while others whistled.

In the second round of the match

  • Trump's presence was announced
  • and his picture was displayed on the big screen
  • for a long time, while the anthem "Hill to the Chief" was played.

Trump

smiled and waved his fist repeatedly. The whistle sounded first

but many in attendance joined in the applause.

Trump's presence

brought to mind former President George W.

Bush's visit 24 years ago when he threw the symbolic opening ball during the 2001 World Series final between the Yankees and the Arizona Diamondbacks a moment that became a symbol of national resilience after the September attacks that occurred just a few weeks ago.

Trump:

Significant progress has been made in

the hunt for right-wing killer Charlie Kirk

US President Donald Trump said Thursday evening that significant progress has been made in the hunt for the killer of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk in Utah.

He pledged to

  1. find all those involved in
  2. the assassination of one of
  3. his most prominent supporters

conservative American activist Charlie Kirk

who was killed after being shot in Utah. Trump also vowed to

pursue the instigators of political violence in the country.

Earlier

Trump

announced that he would award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom

the highest American civilian honor, after his murder.

During a Pentagon ceremony marking the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, he described him as a "giant of his generation" and a "hero of his freedom".

The Republican president held the "radical left"

responsible for contributing to the killing of Kirk (31 years old), describing him as a "martyr of truth and freedom", and vowed to launch a campaign against those he held responsible for this "dark moment in America".

In addition

  • the FBI announced a reward of $100,000 for anyone
  • who provides information that helps arrest the suspect in
  • the murder of the influential Charlie Kirk, who is close to Trump.

It is important to note that

the authorities announced the discovery of the weapon used in the assassination of influencer Kirk, expressing their confidence in identifying the suspect who has been hidden from view since the incident on Wednesday evening.
