Zelensky sets a condition for Trump to be
nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize
Vladimir Zelensky set a condition for US President Donald Trump for Ukraine to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
And the "Strana" website reported. Ukrainian UA quoted Zelensky as saying: "Zelensky will nominate Trump.. If he can achieve a ceasefire."
The report also indicated that
- the Ukrainian Parliament (Rada) was unable the previous
- day to adopt a decision to nominate Trump
- for the award due to insufficient votes.
Trump said earlier that he was not seeking the Nobel Peace Prize
stressing that all he wanted was to end wars and save lives.

The Washington Post reported
citing informed sources, that US President Donald Trump's habit of repeatedly referring to the Nobel Peace Prize may negatively affect his chances of winning it.
The newspaper said that
Trump confirms that he is not seeking political maneuvers for the award, although he has been mentioning it publicly every few weeks since his return to the Oval Office, noting that this habit may reduce his chances with the Nobel Committee.
The sources explained that Trump
in an effort to enhance his chances of winning the award
contacted former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg
by phone
as part of his efforts to expand the support base for his candidacy.
Trump said
last February that he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize.
The South Korean newspaper "Chugan Chosun" reported that the Vice Chairman of the Intelligence Committee in the South Korean Parliament, Pak Sung-won, officially submitted his nomination for the award.
East Timorese President Jose Ramos

- for the award if he is able to achieve a peaceful
- settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Belarusian President
Alexander Lukashenko confirmed the same position, indicating that he would support Trump's nomination if he succeeded in establishing peace, but he pointed out that the Nobel Prize "no longer means much", as he put it.

a formal request to the Nobel Committee to nominate Trump for the Peace Prize in recognition of his efforts to calm the situation between Iran and Israel, while the Pakistani government also proposed nominating him for the prize in recognition of his role in mediating the conflict with India.
Trump fails to gain enough supporters in
the Ukrainian parliament to nominate him for the Nobel Prize
The Ukrainian newspaper "Strana"
reported that US President Donald Trump's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize did not gain a sufficient number of supporters in the Ukrainian Parliament.
The newspaper pointed out that the decision
was supported by only 132 MPs.
A bill was introduced in the Ukrainian parliament to nominate
the US leader for the Nobel Peace Prize on September 25.
French President Emmanuel Macron said earlier that Trump would
not be able to win the Nobel Peace Prize unless he ended the war in Gaza.
The US President stated earlier that he is not seeking the Nobel Peace Prize
stressing that all he wants is to end wars and save lives.
